WORSHIP AT
FPC BELMONT
What to Expect
We would love to welcome you to worship with us at First Presbyterian Church of Belmont. Whether you are visiting for the first time or looking for a church home, you will find a warm and welcoming community here.
Two Worship Services Each Sunday
Early Worship – 8:30 a.m.
Our “Early at 8:30” service is a casual and welcoming worship experience held in the Sanctuary. This service is held outdoors on the Scout Hut Lawn from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, offering a peaceful setting for worship amongst God’s creation.
Traditional Worship – 11:00 a.m.
Our 11:00 a.m. service is a traditional worship service held in our Sanctuary. This service includes familiar elements of Presbyterian worship such as prayer, scripture, music, and a sermon.
Entering the Church
Visitors and members should enter through the main entrance on the Central Avenue side of the church property, where the circle drive can be found.
A Worshiping Community
At FPC Belmont, worship is something we do together. Children, youth, and adults regularly participate in worship alongside our pastors, reflecting the life and faith of our whole church family.
New Members/Visitors Class
For those interested in learning more about our church, we invite you to join us on the 2nd Sunday of the month at 9:45 am. This is an informal time allowing visitors or new members the opportunity to ask questions about the life of our church, our beliefs, the program and ministries we offer, and ways to get connected. The class meets in the Gathering Area as you come inside the front doors of the church.
We also welcome you to explore the Ministries section of our website to discover opportunities for fellowship, learning, and service.
Things to Know Before Your Visit
Parking: We recommend utilizing the parking lot located on the Central Avenue side of our campus for the closest access to the main entrance.
Dress Code: Our members and visitors can be found in attire ranging from a suit and tie, to polos and jeans. We invite you to come dressed in what you are comfortable wearing.
Accessibility: Handicap-accessible parking is available throughout our parking lot, and our church campus is fully accessible. In the Sanctuary, several pews include designated spaces at the ends to comfortably accommodate those using wheelchairs, allowing everyone to sit and worship with ease.
Childcare: Families with children are encouraged to bring their child to worship with them. During the service, children are invited to join us for a “Children’s Sermon,” led by Director, Robin Russell, and then will be dismissed to Children’s Church.
Infant & Toddler Nursery: We offer childcare for infants and toddlers during both services (8:30 & 11:00) as well as during Sunday School (9:45). Care is provided by our trained Childcare Staff and is available in Room EB 108 (located in the education wing of our church). If you need assistance locating the room, a deacon or elder will be glad to direct you.
