CAPITAL CAMPAIGN
Our Story
First Presbyterian Church of Belmont is not only a place for Sunday worship, but also a center of outreach, learning, fellowship, and care for our neighbors. It is a gathering place for our weekday school families, a home for youth, children and adult ministries, and a welcoming space for community groups and service opportunities that extend Christ's love beyond our doors.
Over time, faithful use and the passing of years have brought natural wear to our beloved facilities. Recognizing the need to care for and preserve this sacred space, the Session formed a Long-Range Planning Committee to prayerfully assess and prioritize needed capital improvements. Through thoughtful planning and positive feedback from congregation-wide focus groups, it became clear that we share a deep commitment to both preserving our architectural heritage and preparing our campus to serve future generations.
RENEWED SPACES FOR WORSHIP, EXPANDED ROOM FOR DISCIPLESHIP AND OUTREACH, AND STRENGTHENED FOUNDATIONS FOR GENERATIONS TO COME.
Yet the story of First Presbyterian is not only about what has been—it is about what God is doing now. As the prophet Isaiah writes, “Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?,” we are reminded that God is indeed doing a new thing, and we are called to respond faithfully.
This Capital Campaign represents a historic moment in the life of First Presbyterian Church of Belmont. An opportunity to honor our past, care for our present, and prepare faithfully for the future. We invite the continued support of our dedicated congregation and broader community as we come together in this important effort on behalf of the church and ministry we so deeply love and care for.
In the coming weeks, you will receive more information about how you can support the Capital Campaign and learn more about our goals as we “Build for God’s Mission and Renew for His Glory.” Through prayer, generosity, and shared commitment, we trust that God will bless this endeavor and use it for His glory and the strengthening of His church.
CAPITAL CAMPAIGN KICKOFF
Sunday, April 19
With gratitude for our past and faith for our future, we invite you to join us for the Build and Renew Capital Campaign Kickoff - a historic and sacred moment in the life of our church.
As we formally launch our 2026–2031 Capital Campaign, we will gather around the big vision God is giving us: to preserve the sacred beauty of our Sanctuary and to prepare our campus for future generations through the construction of a new outreach center.
We will come together for one combined worship service at 11:00 am as we welcome guest speaker Chris Peek, CEO of CaroMont Health, who will share reflections on the impact of the Church, the faithfulness of its people, and the hope this campaign represents for the years ahead.
Following the service, attendees will gather in Fellowship Hall to hear the vision for the campaign while enjoying lunch. Childcare will be available for infants and toddlers, with special programs planned for children and youth under the age of 18.
Please make plans to attend this meaningful day as we come together to celebrate what God is doing and the future He is calling us toward.
Kindly RSVP online by Wednesday, April 15.
