Rally Day
Sunday, August 17
All are invited to join us for our annual Rally Day as we come together to kick off an exciting new year of programs and activities at First Presbyterian Church of Belmont.
Worship with us at our "Early at 8:30 Outdoors" Worship service or indoors at 11:00 in the Sanctuary. During both services, we will present Bibles to Kindergarteners and Third Graders.
We will also enjoy a time of fellowship at our Rally Day Breakfast at 9:45 am in the Fellowship Hall. Please RSVP on Realm or by calling the church office to help guide our food preparation. No Sunday School will be held on this day.
Children’s Ministry Kick Off
Sunday, August 17
We are delighted to be kicking off another wonderful year with our Children’s Ministries here at First Presbyterian Church! We have an exciting year of programs and activities in store, where children and students will deepen their faith in Christ, serve others, and enjoy endless fellowship and fun.
Children (ages 3 through 5th grade) s and their parents are invited to join us on Sunday, August 17th at 5:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall to learn more about classes and programming, upcoming events, service opportunities, behavior guidelines, and more. Dinner will be served, so please register your family and we hope to see you there!

Community Lunch and Learn
Tuesday, August 19 | 12:00 noon
We’re excited to resume our monthly Lunch & Learn series at First Presbyterian—a time to share a meal, connect with one another, and learn about the impactful work of local non-profit organizations in our community.
We invite you to join us on Tuesday, August 19th as we welcome guest speaker, Daniel Freeman, Chief Development Officer of Gaston College who will be discussing the Gaston College Foundation and the programs and services they offer.
Come enjoy lunch and fellowship and learn about the ways we as a church and community can support the Gaston College Foundation and their efforts. Register online by Monday, August 18th.
Blessing of the Animals

Join us at our Early worship service as we hold our annual “Blessing of the Animals.” All creatures great and small are welcome!
This service will also conclude our Outdoor Worship for 2025.
Labor Day Holiday
Monday, September 1
In observance of Labor Day, a time to give thanks for the gift of work and rest, the church offices and Weekday School will be closed on Monday, September 1. We pray that this day offers you a chance to reflect, renew, and enjoy God’s blessings.
Family Baseball Game

Join the FPC Belmont family for an afternoon of fellowship and fun as we cheer on the Gastonia Ghost Peppers! Enjoy club level seating with covered seats and access to an air-conditioned club room — perfect for a comfortable and relaxing game experience.

Grief Support Group
Begins Sunday, September 7
If you are grieving the loss of a loved one, you don't have to walk through it alone. We invite you to join our GriefShare Support Group, a 13-week class designed to offer care, understanding, and hope in the midst of loss.

If you're interested in being a part of this group, we welcome you to come as you are. Each session includes video teachings, group discussions, and personal reflection in a supportive, compassionate environment.

Senior Adults Trip to Flat Rock Playhouse
Thursday, September 18 | 10:00 am
The Young at Hearts/Senior Adults are headed back to Flat Rock on Thursday, September 18th, to see a matinee performance of Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express, and you’re invited!
The group will be traveling by Motorcoach Charter and will leave from the church parking lot that morning at 10:15 am. We have lunch reservations at the Flat Rock Wood Room at Noon, and the performance at the Playhouse begins at 2:00 pm.
The cost for this event is $40.00 per person and includes travel, lunch, and theater ticket. The bus capacity is 25 guests, and our tickets are limited to that number. Register on Realm by August 7th and come on and join us for a fun-filled day!
Yoga for Parkinson’s
Held each Monday at 10:00 & 11:15 am
A gentle yoga class designed specifically for individuals living with Parkinson’s disease. Incorporating a daily yoga practice is especially beneficial for people living with Parkinson’s or other movement disorders.
Classes are held in the Multipurpose Room of FPC Belmont and are free of charge for program participants. Care partners are also welcome to participate.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Each week we depend on volunteers to “host” our weekly classes. Hosts are not responsible for instructing the class, rather, you only need to be present for the duration of the class. If you are interested in getting involved, please click the sign-up link below for more information and to reserve a time that works with your schedule.
