EVENTS & ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • 📅 Thursday, June 25

Our Young at Heart group (ages 55+) is heading out on a meaningful adventure, and we’d love for you to join us!

On Thursday, June 25, the group will travel together by bus (leaving the church at 9:00 AM) to JAARS (Jungle Aviation and Relay Service) in Waxhaw, NC; a remarkable Christian nonprofit that supports Bible translators around the world through aviation, technology, and transportation.

During the visit, the group will explore the Alphabet Museum, discover how translators bring Scripture to remote communities, and tour the Cardenas Museum to learn how JAARS helps carry mission work through “the last mile.” We’ll also enjoy a brief tour of the JAARS airport.

There is no cost for the outing, though donations are appreciated. Lunch will be Dutch treat at their on‑site café, which offers a variety of delicious options.

Please register by Monday, June 23 and come enjoy a day of learning, fellowship, and inspiration!

  • Saturday, July 4

As we prepare to observe the July 4th holiday, we want to share a reminder that our church office and Weekday School will be closed on Friday, July 3, and will reopen on Monday, July 6.

As our nation marks the 250th anniversary of American independence, we wish you and your family a safe, fun, and joy‑filled holiday weekend!

  • BEGINS SUNDAY, JUNE 7!

Join us as we kick off a beautiful season of music, beginning with a special performance on Sunday, June 7: "Sweet Sounds of Childhood" by Kailey Lawing, featuring Rosemary Gleason, Mary McFarland, and Robin Russell—three of FPC Belmont’s very own gifted musicians.

We’ll continue the series with additional recitals on July 5 and August 2, each one offering its own unique musical experience. Recitals begin at 6:00 pm, rain or shine.

Bring a chair and enjoy the music from the lawn of the church, or listen from the comfort of your car as the melodies ring across campus. Be sure to invite your friends, family, and neighbors as we celebrate the joy of community and the gift of music throughout the summer.

  • Wednesday, July 8

We’re inviting our 3rd–5th graders (ages 8 and up) to spend a meaningful morning serving others in Jesus’ name at Samaritan’s Feet in Charlotte. This is a wonderful opportunity for our children to learn compassion, teamwork, and the joy of giving.

    • Departure Time: 8:15 am

    • Serve at Samaritan’s Feet: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

    • Who’s Invited:

      • 3rd-5th graders (8+)

      • If your child attends Summer Camp at the Weekday School on this date, we can pick up those children with written permission.

    • Adult Volunteers Needed: Samaritan’s Feet requires 1 adult for every 5 children present, so we warmly welcome parents and other adults to serve alongside us.

A gentle yoga class designed specifically for individuals living with Parkinson’s disease. Incorporating a daily yoga practice is especially beneficial for people living with Parkinson’s or other movement disorders.

Classes are held in the Multipurpose Room of FPC Belmont and are free of charge for program participants. Care partners are also welcome to participate.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Each week we depend on volunteers to “host” our weekly classes.
