On Tuesday, October 20, we invite you to join us as we welcome Holy Angels, a remarkable nonprofit organization serving our Belmont community, along with guest speakers, Sophie Hanafin and Sam Story.

It’s Flat Rock time again, y’all.  The Young at Hearts (55+) are headed to Flat Rock on Thursday, October 22, to see a matinee performance of Sister Act; part divine comedy, part disco revival equals a great show.

We will be traveling by motorcoach charter and will leave from the church parking lot that morning at 9:45 am. We have lunch reservations at the Flat Rock Wood Room at Noon, and the performance at Flat Rock Playhouse is at 2:00 pm.

The cost for this event is $45.00 per person and includes travel, lunch, and theater ticket.  The bus capacity is 24 guests, and our tickets are limited to that number. Registration will close once all tickets have been reserved.

Get cozy and come celebrate fall with us at our free PJ’s & Pumpkin Party! Children in Kindergarten through 5th grade may be dropped off for an evening of laughter, creativity, and faith‑filled fun. Younger children are welcome too, we just ask that an adult stay with them.

We’ll enjoy a pizza supper, paint pumpkins, and learn more about God’s amazing love for each of us. So grab your favorite pajamas, bring your biggest smiles, and join us for a night that’s sure to be full of joy and sweet memories!

We are excited to once again be hosting our annual Trunk-or-Treat on Sunday, October 25 at 5:00 pm. The event is a safe and family-friendly outing for our church and community to enjoy food, fun, and of course, candy!

This year we will be offering hotdogs, games, music, a pet trunk, s’mores, balloon art, face paint and more! 

With that being said, we need YOU and your TRUNKS! We are preparing for a larger turnout this year, which means we need volunteers who can lend us your trunk and help make this event a success! You are welcome to decorate your car, however, it is not a requirement. We do ask that you please bring candy to pass out to the children. Please register your trunk so we have an accurate count for this event!

No registration is required to attend the event, but if you would like to host/decorate a trunk, please register here.

Mark your calendars! We will soon kick-off our food collection drive as we once again prepare Thanksgiving boxes for Charlotte Rescue Mission.

This outreach project is a wonderful opportunity to bless those in need this holiday season. Details regarding items being collected and more will be shared in the near future.

**The Faith & Life Class/Younger Adults will gather for a “Tailgate Packing Event” on Saturday, November 1 at 3:00 pm to pack the Thanksgiving boxes and prepare them for delivery to Charlotte Rescue Mission. More information to come!

The cost will be $15 per plant and orders will be due by November 23.

FPC Belmont continues our partnership with Habitat for Humanity by coming together to assist at Gastonia's Habitat ReStore.

This exciting volunteer opportunity only requires a few hours of your time, one Saturday each month. See the details below!

• First Saturday of every month

• 5 volunteer spots available

• 1:30 - 4:30 pm

• Volunteers will help at Gastonia's Habitat ReStore with the following:

  • Help unload donated items

  • Organize and clean the donations

  • Place items on the sale floor

  • Maintain the organization of the store

  • Assist customer with carry-outs after purchase.

In observance of Veterans Day, the church office and Weekday School will be closed on November 11 and will reopen on Thursday, November 12.

As we observe this special holiday, we give thanks for the many freedoms we enjoy because of the sacrifice and service of our wonderful veterans.

Held each Monday - 10:00 & 11:15 am

A gentle yoga class designed specifically for individuals living with Parkinson’s disease. Incorporating a daily yoga practice is especially beneficial for people living with Parkinson’s or other movement disorders.

Classes are held in the Multipurpose Room of FPC Belmont and are free of charge for program participants. Care partners are also welcome to participate.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Each week we depend on volunteers to “host” our weekly classes. Hosts are not responsible for instructing the class, rather, you only need to be present for the duration of the class. If you are interested in getting involved, please click the sign-up link below for more information and to reserve a time that works with your schedule.
