EVENTS & ANNOUNCEMENTS

Community Lunch & Learn

Tuesday, March 17 March 31 | 12:00 noon
*This event has been rescheduled to March 31 due to a unexpected scheduling conflict.*

We’re excited to continue our monthly Lunch & Learn series at First Presbyterian Church—a time to share a meal, connect with one another, and learn about the impactful work of local non-profit organizations in our community.

Come be a part of this special luncheon when we will shine a spotlight on one Belmont’s very own local non-profits; Arin’s Good Girl Dog Treats. Arin, who was born with Microcephaly, has faced limits in fully participating in society—but her devoted “good girl” service dog, Posie, has opened doors to connection and community.

What began as a simple act of love soon grew into "Good Girl Dog Treats," a 501(c)3 organization that offers all-natural dog treats while creating meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.

We hope you will join us for lunch and learn about the wonderful opportunities to support Arin’s passion and purposeful work.

Family Easter Eggstravaganza

Saturday, March 28 | 10:00 am

Gather the whole family and join us as we journey through the stories of Holy Week in a way that’s engaging and meaningful for children of all ages. Together, we’ll celebrate the joy of the Easter season and the good news of Christ’s resurrection!

We will enjoy delicious cupcakes and drum roll… we’re bringing back the EGG HUNT this year!

Come celebrate, learn, laugh, and rejoice with us as we remember the hope and new life we have in Jesus. Be sure to register on Realm so we can plan accordingly.

Rise Against Hunger Event

Sunday, March 29 | 12:00 noon

Mark your calendars! Our annual Rise Against Hunger Meal Packing Event has been postponed from February 1 to March 29 due to inclement weather. We are seeking at least 120 volunteers to help make this outreach ministry a success as we join together in the mission to help end world hunger. Together we will pack over 15,000 meals in less than two hours. What a blessing it is to serve in this way!

Children preschool age and older are welcome to join with their family and lend a helping hand. Childcare will be available for those too young to participate.

If you want to be a part of this meaningful opportunity, you may register as a volunteer by clicking the link below.

Capital Campaign Kickoff

Sunday, April 19

Our church has entered a season of vision, renewal, and trust as we move into our Capital Campaign. More than a project, this is a shared opportunity to seek God’s direction, steward His gifts, strengthen our church home, and expand ministry for generations to come. We invite you to continue praying for wisdom, unity, and clarity as we honor our past, care for our present, and faithfully prepare for our future.

With that spirit of prayer and anticipation, we invite you to join us for the "Build and Renew Capital Campaign Kickoff" on Sunday, April 19. We will gather for one combined worship service at 11:00 am as we share in this exciting vision together. Following the service, attendees will gather in the Fellowship Hall to hear the vision for the campaign while enjoying lunch.

Childcare will be available for infants and toddlers, with special programs planned for children and youth under the age of 18.

*Formal invitations were sent via email on 3/25/2026, so please check your inbox to view important information regarding this day and to RSVP. You may also click the link below to save your spot! We look forward to having you be a part of this sacred and historic moment in the life of our church!

Yoga for Parkinson’s

Held each Monday at 10:00 & 11:15 am

A gentle yoga class designed specifically for individuals living with Parkinson’s disease. Incorporating a daily yoga practice is especially beneficial for people living with Parkinson’s or other movement disorders.

Classes are held in the Multipurpose Room of FPC Belmont and are free of charge for program participants. Care partners are also welcome to participate.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Each week we depend on volunteers to “host” our weekly classes. Hosts are not responsible for instructing the class, rather, you only need to be present for the duration of the class. If you are interested in getting involved, please click the sign-up link below for more information and to reserve a time that works with your schedule. We thank you in advance for helping make this opportunity possible for those living with Parkinson’s.
