Education Opportunities

Education Committee Member

Description:  This committee plans and implements all the Christian Education programming in the church from Infants through Adults. Congregation-at-large members give input and evaluation of current programs and assistance in developing new opportunities.

Time: Meets the first Monday of the month for 1- 2 hours. Plus, time as you choose to help with particular programs.

Sunday School Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent

Description: Manage all classes during Sunday School, verify safety protocol is followed and nursery workers present, take attendance, collect offering, attend monthly Education Committee meetings.

Time: 1- 2 hours each Sunday morning

Nursery Subcommittee Chairperson

Description: Schedule volunteers for the Infant Nursery, Toddler Nursery, PAWS during Sunday worship.

Nursery Volunteer for Sunday worship

Description: All you have to do is play with young children- paid workers do all the diaper changing. Perfect for grandparents, aunts and uncles!

Time: 1 hour during worship every 3-4 months.

Children's Ministry Committee member

Description: this committee oversees the program ministries for children by recommending curriculum, recruiting and training teachers, setting schedules and calendars, provides oversight for the Nursery, Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and for Wednesday and Sunday afternoon programs. 

Time: meets every third Sunday of the month after the 10:30 am worship service for about 1 hour. Additional time as you choose to help with activities.

Sunday School Teacher: K- 5th Grade

Description: Assist with teaching a children's class which are grouped K-1st grade, 2nd and 3rd grade, 4th and 5th grade. There is a large group gathering with K-5th with a video, then break into the smaller age groups. The curriculum is Dig In and you will have the lesson and needed materials provided.

Time: 1 hour on Sunday morning, team teaching, monthly rotation

Children's Church Volunteer

Description: Our K- 3rd graders leave worship after the Children's Sermon for an age and developmentally appropriate lesson about worship. You would assist in teaching this class, all materials and easy lessons provided. 

Time: 30 minutes during worship, as many or as few Sundays as you choose.

PAWS: Pre-Schoolers- at Worship Service Volunteer

Description: Our pre-school children have their own special worship experience during the sermon in the 10:30 am worship service in the sanctuary. You would assist in teaching a lesson, which is provided

Time: 20-25 minutes on Sunday during worship, as often as you choose

Kids Central

Description: This is our Wednesday program for ages 3- 5th grade, from 4:30 pm- 6:00 pm. The children have gathering, worship, choir time and class time. We have large group time for worship and choir, then they split into age groups. All materials are provided. We have a variety of curriculum from Heifer International and Missions Alive. There are field trips and special events for Advent and Lent.

Time: from 4:15 pm- 6:15 pm every Wednesday

Youth Committee member

Description: The Youth Committee seeks youth who need God's love, connects them with other Christians and works with them to build their faith that will serve their neighbors and praise God with their lives. Help committee develop curriculum, set calendar, help with youth functions, recommend and train teachers and advisors for Middle and High school youth. 

Time: Meeting the 2nd Tuesday of the month, plus time to help with events.

Youth Advisors

Description: Work with Middle or High School youth on Sunday evenings, chaperone on outings (laser tag, bowling, etc). Supper provided.

Time: 1 1/2- 2 hours on Sunday evenings during the school year

Adult Education Committee member

Description: Help to design and plan opportunities for adults to learn God's word through a variety of experiences from Sunday School, short term special classes and speakers. Also helps to plan and conduct classes to strengthen family life through Marriage and Parenting courses.

Time: 1 hour meeting the second Tuesday of the month, plus time helping with special events ads you choose.
