Mission Statement

The First Presbyterian Weekday School is a mission of the First Presbyterian Church of Belmont, North Carolina.  Our central purpose is to provide the children of our church and the community with a strong Christian education in a loving and nurturing environment.  Our goal is to help our students develop spiritually, intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically.  Our program is open to all children regardless of racial, economic or religious background or circumstances.

1985 - 2011

26 Years of Christian Child Care Ministry

The First Presbyterian Day School opened its doors in 1985.  Our Day School offers full day classes for children six weeks old until Kindergarten, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm, 52 weeks per year, with the exception of ten scheduled holidays and days out due to inclement weather.  We also provide after school care from Belmont Central and Page Elementary schools.  Additionally, there is a Summer Session for children in Kindergarten through fifth grade.
