Volunteer Opportunities
Do you like to help others, visit church members or usher on Sunday mornings? If so, then you need to volunteer to help the Board of Deacons with one of their projects. This year, the Deacons are coordinating some new programs within our church. Our focus is to take care of the congregation, but we know we cannot do it alone! Each program is described below.
Helping Wheels program provides church bus transportation to worship service on Sunday mornings. You leave the church at 9:30 to pick up members and then take them back home following the service. There is one driver and one helper needed for each Sunday.
Volunteer Ushers help ushers, pass out bulletins and collect the offering on Sunday mornings.
Visitation Program assigns a special care member to a volunteer. Visits, cards, etc. are made to the member at least monthly.
Care Group Leaders will be assigned about 10 families in the church to maintain contact. The care group leader will send cards, email or phone occasionally and keep the care group informed about programs and events at the church.
Helping Hands is a program that occurs in April/May and September/October of each year. We help members with small jobs around their house, such as gardening, raking leaves and trimming bushes.
If you are interested in helping with any of these programs please let us know! Please choose one of the following options to volunteer:
