Habitat for Humanity Project Fall 2009

Habitat for Humanity Home

First Presbyterian Church is privileged to be able to participate in the Gaston Area Presbyterian (GAP) Habitat for Humanity projects.  This past fall marked the fourth Habitat home built by GAP.

The Groundbreaking Ceremony of the fourth GAP Habitat House took place Sunday, September 13, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the site of the home, 2503 McArver Street in Gastonia.

First Presbyterian Church Belmont sponsored their "build day" on Saturday, October 10, 2009.  We worked in partnership with the Long Creek Presbyterian Church, and our work activities included exterior vinyl siding installation and interior insulation.

On Sunday, November 22,2009 at 3:00 p.m. we celebrated the dedication of the house along with the other GAP churches in a service led by GAP ministers and volunteers.
