SonShine, Alleluia and Trinity Choirs

The Sonshine Choir is for children who are 3 years old through kindergarten. The SonShine Choir rehearses each Wednesday afternoon during the school year during WOW (Worship on Wednesdays). They learn worship etiquette, rehearsal manners, simple rhythms, ear training and melodic direction. The SonShine Choir sings about once a month in Worship, in the Christmas Program and on Children's Ministry Sunday in May. |
| The Alleluia Choir is for 1st - 2nd graders and rehearses during WOW (Worship on Wednesdays). Alleluia Choir teaches basis music reading skills, use of the hymnal and commitment to sharing time and talents. The Alleluia Choir sings in Worship about once each month, for the Children's Christmas Program and for Children's Ministry Sunday in May. |

Trinity Choir is for grades 3-5, and rehearse during JAM (Jesus and Me) on Sunday evenings. They learn to read musical notation and sing in two parts. They sing in Worship about once each month, and plan and lead a worship service in May. Children who demonstrate a desire to grow musically and spiritually and meet attendance requirements are encouraged to attend the conference on Worship and Music at Montreat each year. Also available during the summer months is the Music Camp offered by the Gaston Baptist Association. |
